Gregory Williams is a native of Michigan who moved west as a young man and eventually graduated from the Art Center in Pasadena. Williams now resides in Northern California, which reminds him of his native Michigan. He has always been a person who prefers the outdoors. In fact, Greg’s most cherished moments are those experienced in the solitude of an open landscape. “I love the stillness and tranquility of the early morning, just as the day is beginning. It simultaneously provides me with peacefulness and inspiration.” This natural beauty and his passion for open space are part of the inspiration Williams expresses in his richly colored and textured landscapes. The illuminated horizon has become one of the signature elements in his paintings and part of the visual allure that has made him such a popular contemporary artist.
