David Pollard

David is an amateur photographer living in Ottawa, Canada. Now retired, he has been an Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, a Landscape Architect, an urban planner, and a federal public servant. David’s photographic and digital art interests are varied and include landscape, abstract, infrared and anything else that catches his fancy. He has won several awards in the annual Ottawa-Outaouais lnterclub Photo Competition, including one “Best in Show”; he has had photos published in Photoshop User magazine, in PHOTONews magazine, in the Photofocus “blogazine’~ and in the Stark-Magazine “e-zine”. David had several photos selected by the Canadian Association of Landscape Architects (CSLA) for inclusion in their Significant Landscapes/ Canadian Landscapes Portfolio, and also had several photos selected by the Light Space & Time Online Gallery for inclusion in several of their Art Exhibitions. One image from his “Ageing Beauties”tloral series was included in a group show in Ottawa’s “Gallery 200′: and five images from the same series were included in the PhotoEd magazine December 2018 Winter digital edition.
David is a contributor to Arcangel Images, a stock agency whose clients include book publishers, record labels, advertising and design agencies, and magazine publishers. He also contributes to C Brand Studios, a marketing company specializing in custom image design for a wide range of home decor and product image licensing, and to Image Conscious, a publisher and distributor of fine art prints and posters.
